String Resonance level — no difference?

Post by mybadmemory »

Hi!

Since upgrading to OS 1.22 I find that the string resonance level setting (-6 — +6) doesn't seem to affect the sound much.

There is a clear difference when turning the string resonance on / off altogether, but the level setting doesn't seem to do much.

Anyone else noticed this, or is it just me not being able to hear it?

Jonas

I think anything other than on/off is kind of silly anyway.

Hi mybadmemory!

I believe you may be right, I did notice a difference after upgrading to the newest OS.

I had been practicing this one song for about 4 weeks on my Nord Piano and I knew that I could hear the string resonance kick in at this very specific moment. I even had to lower the string resonance because it was too much. After upgrading, I couldn't hear it as much as before, so I changed the volume again.

If a change was made to the string resonance level it may be a 1 (or 2) dB difference. I did stop playing this song for two weeks, so maybe I'm just crazy.
