Piano 3 in 2021
There's a used Piano 3 going for 1300 euros and I'm really tempted to pick it up. A new Piano 4 is 2500 euros, a used P4 is 2100 (around there), and there's not much difference between the two, apart from the 256mb more sample memory and new colour on the panel (darker shade of grey). I assume action is the same? At least that's what it says on the Nord website. Maybe they tweaked it a little bit, does someone know if the P3 action feels different than the P4? It looks like a great deal, it's cheaper because it's an older model but it has 95% the features of the P4, so I don't see the use of getting the P4. Am I missing something here? Can someone who has a Piano 3 chip in and tell me about your experience? Thanks a lot.

Re: Piano 3 in 2021
One difference is the lack of the enhanced filters.
Both the NP3 and the NP4 supports the latest Nord Piano Sample format version 6.0, which allows it to play the enhanced EPianos and the White Grand, for instance. However, the updated filters with improved and tweaked characteristics, and the Dyno 1 and 2 settings for EP, are only supported on the NP4, not on the NP3 (see https://www.nordkeyboards.com/enhanced- ... ep-filters).
Whether that's important to you or not depends on what use cases you envision for the board.

I'm just going to play piano at home, so I don't think it's such a big deal. Is the action the same though? That's the main question mark here and I'm not really sure.

Hi,
They don't have the same polyphony either (60 vs 120 for the piano) but I don't think it's a problem.
On the other hand, the piano filters introduced with the NP4 are useful for me. They allow you to adjust the tone according to your monitoring system.
But 1300€ is a good prize for a Nord piano 3.
