Hi Group, what are your experiences with the NORD PIANO Keybed ?
I’m asking because some keys on my Nord Piano 5 (73) began already to creak after a short time.

Re: NP Keybed experience
Well, that's so annoying to hear that completely new boards with only few months use have this kind of problems... The only acceptable problem to me could be software issue (that can be fixed with factory restore)... but this makes me so... how to express my self, like, I'm questioning the quality control and what Nord does to stop this issues in future?? I would love to buy NS3 one day, but this kind of hardware issues are the only thing I'm worried about.

Not after few month, after few weeks…Nord33 wrote:

What I hear listening to your video clip sounds like a typical hammer action to me, but perhaps it sounds different in person. Can you describe the creaking noise?

For me as a non native English speaker it is difficult to give an exact description, but I will try:wtibbit wrote:Can you describe the creaking noise?
„It sounds like a rattling and clicking noise, as if something has loosened up a bit compared to the other keys.
You could also think that maybe some plastic hits plastic. The keys C3 and B2 are affected.“
In the meantime the NP5 has been taken to the dealer. We will see if it is exchanged or repaired.

Re: NP Keybed experience
That is a clear description. Thanks! Perhaps your piano will be replaced rather than repaired. That would be a good outcome for you and maybe someone, somewhere, will be offered a 'refurbished' Piano 5 at a reduced price.
