That's what I suspect. I also suspect the seller didn't own a Nord Keyboard.
I asked someone else whether the pedal is plug and play.and was told it was. The one I had with my Yahama P125 was plug and play.

Will see if my multimeter still works - assuming I can find it!!
Thanks for you info regarding testing the pedal.

I did that yesterday and it proved that the pedal was faulty.
I am now returning it to the seller and getting a full refund.

YW, the fault could be as simple as a disconnected ring cable on either end (since both soft and sostenuto pedals don't work), but better get the refund and then go for a working one new.
