Wow, 40 lb. I didn't even think of checking the weight. That's 50% heavier than the QSC K8.2.
@cphollis (who is also over at KC) has tried a bunch of amplification gear and has put together a good amplification FAQ/summary that may give you some ideas:

Re: Nord Piano 5 and Nord monitors
I found out from RCF that the TT-08As are back ordered till at least Feb. of 2023. So I'm sort of leaning towards the Yamaha DXR8 mk2s. I got a good price on a pair in stock.
They are a few hundred under half the price of the TT-08As. They're a reasonable weight and they seem to generally compare as good or better to the QSC K8.2s.
I just need whatever the speakers are to sound good - detailed, clear, nice, flattering tone on piano -- at lower volume acoustic jazz levels. Not concerned so much with how loud they go, or much deep bass they have.

Re: Nord Piano 5 and Nord monitors
I share with you my experience after many years of searching for the optimal solution. I was also ready to spend a lot of money for my monitoring. I have been searching for a long time for monitors that would satisfy me when monitoring digital piano during acoustic performances. Now I'm using a Nord piano 4. I've tried 5 or 6 different active speakers up to 8 inches. Fbt, Yamaha, RCF (TT too as my friend has them)...
Something always bothered me. In the end I chose this and I am extremely satisfied:

I didn't even consider this type of speakers at first. I ordered them out of pure curiosity.
They are very very clear. Perfect for piano sound. They have several possible programs. If there is a lot of bass coming from the background of the main speakers, I choose the "stage monitor" setting, where there is less bass. If there is less bass from behind, I choose the "studio monitor" setting. They are very fast /responisve because they are 2 x 5 inches. I find out that this is very important. There are two 5 inch speakers in each unit. One is coaxial.
They are just loud enough for any acoustic performance, even with a drummer. They are light.
I hope my experience will be useful to you.

Re: Nord Piano 5 and Nord monitors
I additionally padded them on the side to achieve an angle (so that they aim more vertically). So I get the sound from the floor directly to my ears. So I get a perfectly clear stereo image.
I also noticed that coaxial tweeters are less straining on the ear than other tweeters that are designed to shoot farther.

Re: Nord Piano 5 and Nord monitors
Thanks for the info Nordolino, much appreciated.
I also have an email into a local L' Acoustics dealer on a pair of the 108Ps. I'm waiting to hear back and be shocked at the price.
Edit after receiving email price quote-- it's 7K on a pair of the 108Ps with tax and extra added Covid related shipping charges. No way, that's just too insane.
I'm pretty certain the Yamahas will be fine for the time being. Maybe when the TT-08As become available next Feb. or March I'll go for them if I feel the need.

Re: Nord Piano 5 and Nord monitors
You said chords works. They do! particularly in the velvet for me. They are full and rich, and clear, they guide me one after another like a piano. This is not true with yamaha, particularly in a noisy environment.
For lines and general presence and timbre try white (forgive out of unison G4 and G#4, try to live with them) try velvet (It's kind of bluenote 60ty sounding, good for comping a singer (clear voicings), good to swing with lines because of its presence and its beautifull round hammers sound, you have to live with a lack of sustain in octaves 4 and 5) give a chance to the umber upright (don't tell anyone it's an upright, yourself included. Great single line voice, can result confusing with left hand inversions) try bright, definitely with hard touch settings, sound is sincerly pianolike.
Unfortunatly italian has a tiny attach and misses bass and body, royal is unbearable for me because of those thin and harsh C#4 D4 but also D#4 E4 and thats ruining the game.
Bosendorfer has a good percussive attitude and could really do for me, but ther's a flaw in C#5 D5 D#5 E5... There's a hole in volume there which causes problems in my slolos.
The Silver is unuseable (hardly a piano sound for lines).
I did some great gigs in quartet and quintet with the grand upright (don't telling anyone I was using an upright hehe). Some out of tune note in high register, but you can live with it expecially in ensamble. They hide well.
As for the keybed, i'm in a Grand, can't even imagine what game would be getting accostumed to a piano5.
Also give these sounds a chance in a Pa, live setting. They will show something that yamaha simply can't. Don't just compare the two worlds with hearphones in house, in the silence.
