Nord Monitors

I have a Nord Piano 5 and wondering if ILoud micro monitors or Nord Keyboard monitors were practical for live/on stage purposes, not for projecting obviously but as personal monitors in a small church/live situation?

I use iloud micro monitors with my GRAND. They are ok for my jazz trio and quartet reharsals. They fit in a little bag and are very light. I had to open the front covers (no screws, just pull) and add some rubber foils to stop vibrations which may occur at some volume levels. Easy task. What is also good about them (not intended but just happens to be) is that given the light built they project the sound also in the back so others can hear me what is enought for them.
Also for this same reason I succeded in using them for quiet jazz gigs in small rooms. I use them connected to earphone out and I enjoy my stereo sound while playing in every situation. I wish nord had a mono out to use with a bigger speaker for audience when I'm not with a full PA situation but need some more. In those cases I use only the right channel out.
Think of them like if you had some kind of keyboard with onboard speakers. For home use they are also ok.

How those perform on the low notes when playing? Aren't they feel bit insufficient for low notes keyboard end?

The speakers offer an amazing amount of bass for their size. Due to their firm connection to the instrument and their position directly in front of you, you get the impression that the sound is coming from the instrument itself.
If any possible, try them at home (money-back offer from the shop?).

Thank you very much, your response hit on just what I've been thinking, I'm picking up the my ILouds tomorrow now I feel confident that I made the right decision. That $400 dollar difference from the V2 is a big deal but I really want to experience the stereo while I'm playing and the iLouds seem to be the perfect fit for price and quality

Follow up, I wound up getting the iLoud micro monitors and I love them!

After a week or so I noticed some distortion in the tweeters on certain high fidelity sounds, so I may just have to go with the Nord Monitors unless there is another alternative. What I like about the micro monitors is they can sit on a stand rather than the keyboard, but they can only handle but so much without breaking up

The Nord Monitors come with threads / screws / brackets that attach to the back of the keyboards:




So you could conceivably attach them to anything that has the right sized threads and is thin enough for the screws to make it all of the way through into the monitors. But the monitors weigh around 6 lbs each though, so I'm not sure about a microphone stand unless it has some serious support.
