Hi,
I have nord stage 2 en recently bought the nord grand. Is there any way to get the piano sound over the full keyboard & the synth only on the lowest section. For example untill the central C. So the range of the synth section is limited. In only need 2 instrument but dont want a synth on my high pianosound. #newbienordgranduser
Greetings

Re: Nord grand split options
Without being a Grand user, but seeing that the split setup seems similar to other Nord keyboards, I think that's not possible within the split framework. However, I guess you could use no split, and set up a sample which is assigned to only the lower end of the keyboard.

Correct CountFosco, because Nord Grand, like Piano and Electro, only manages a "pure" split of its 2 sections (PNO/SYNT or SYNT/PNO), but does not include the concept of independent zones (like Nord Stage does) which may also be overlapped, what the OP wants.
We need also to mention to the OP that in teh alternative solution you have proposed, such a "pre-split" sample needs to be created ad-hoc using the Nord Sample Editor, since all the factory samples and most user samples are assigned to the full keyboard extension.
