Hi,
finally got my new Nord Grand and I'm totally in love with it. I am just wondering if this is normal, that you can hear like a background "white noise" inside the Grand when starting it.
It is definitely noticable, but also not immensely loud.
Thx !

Re: nord grand power background noise
Hi and welcome to the forum.
Other users of newer Nord keyboards report a high-pitched noise coming from the OLED display. Some described it as a "hiss". This might be what you hear. Please check if the noise you hear sounds loudest near the display.
If you think it comes from elsewhere you might try to record it - forum members occasionally run spectral analysis on recordings to try to identify harmonics to try to determine the source.

Hey, thank you for your reply.
Yes indeed! It is the OLED display, if i place my ear near to the display it gets definitely louder.
Is this normal, or do i have an issue with my display?
thx!

Re: nord grand power background noise
Hi and welcome!
This was reported by a number of people for different Nord Instruments, so it’s likely something which can be considered more normal than false, I would not be worried about the display being defective.

I agree with Schorsch: This is normal for Nord's OLEDs.
