Nord grand + monitors cable length

Post by maximpie »

Hi!

Just bought the Nord Grand a couple of weeks back and overall in love with the sound, the playability and the look as well. I also bought some Nord monitors with brackets included(v2) with it to suit my home set-up. Nevertheless, there's one thing that's bugging me and that's the cable between the 2 monitors once assembled with the brackets. In the box there's a cable provided but as can be seen on the picture it's far too short to be able to hide it properly behind the Grand. As a clean look is important for me, it's a rather strange sight to see it's hanging loose & floating in the air. Am I doing something wrong with the setup or is this as intended? For such a premium instrument, this cannot be the goal right to have it look like this out of the box?

Thanks for your advice & feedback!

Well, for one, you could start by swapping them around... compared to how Nord have envisioned them placed, you have put the left monitor to the right and the right monitor to the left: https://www.nordkeyboards.com/products/ ... no-monitor

If you don't swap them around, you loose some length and need to stretch the connecting cable some additional 30 cm or so as they will connect the two outer sides instead of the two inner sides.

If that alone is enough to make it possible to hide the wire, I don't know. Otherwise just replace it with a bit longer cable :-)

That is actually some pretty solid advice ;-) Lol! Will see what it gives and come back later with the result

Problem solved :-) Not overly long to really be able to hide it but the overall tension is gone
