No, it's a Kawai keybed -- that has been known all along and is listed on the specsheet over at the mothership

Well, I guess, it's the best non wooden action we could get, right? I'm still hesitating....I would,say, you want to gig with your board, go with the Nord Grand, you want to have a digital Piano at home to replace a real grand, go with the Kawai mp11SE....

Well, since there are no third-party reviews of the action yet, we're all going to have to wait a bit before deciding ...

It's a much lighter action, and there will inevitably be some compromises along the way. What sort of compromises (and how much they matter to an individual) is yet to be known.

However, that's some darn nice packaging there ... just the thing for my cocktail music gigs. Love the flat top for a small 2nd board as well. There's a guy in town who hauls around a plastic piano shell for similar gigs. Looks like a lot of plastic and somewhat tacky. This would be much better, I think.

Well, right, the look is awesome...I know it's stupid but I prefer the look of the Nord Grand that the look of the Mp11....

It's not stupid. We're in the entertainment business. Visuals matter. Which is probably why I went out and splurged on a light show for my bands. But for small, tasty acoustic gigs -- the packaging looks to be a winner.
