Dear Nord community,

I tried the Nord Grand action at a music store today.

There's a distinct 'harsh landing' of the keys, like there's no felt dampening the landing when the key press bottoms out.
I wouldn't say that it was loud, but it was like the bottom was very solid.
I wonder if that is normal for the Nord Grand.
I'm hoping Nord Grand owners could confirm about this. Is this sharp bottom normal?

I've been using the NP88 for more than a decade, and now looking for an upgrade.

So I'd like to love and purchase the Nord Grand, but the action issue is baffling me.

I’ve had my Nord Grand for a few years - I’m not familiar with the sound/feel you’re describing. Any chance you captured any video/audio of it?

I can confirm that this is the feeling of the nord grand, and together with the "no let-off" and "not graded, then lighter" aspects of the RH-N action as compared to the kawai RH-3, these are the 3 differencies between the two actions.
If you ask me, having had both the grand and an mp7se, the hard bottoming of the grand is preferable to the softer of kawai, and is probably one thing people generally like about the grand.
