KBD touch with NP2 after update 1.2
I know, it might be a simple question but I wonder what's the curves in the 4 settings:
off - 1 - 2 - 3 .
can't find any decent explanation anymore. the product page under legacy is unavailable.
thank you guys

Re: KBD touch with NP2 after update 1.2
Hello, Release Notes of NP2 are stilla available on Nord website, here https://www.nordkeyboards.com/products/ ... te-history but there were no changes of velocity curves in 1.2x , last change was in 1.14
v1.14 (2013-10-07)
A new velocity curve type added, replacing the Keyboard Touch setting 3. The new curve is optimized for soft playing / makes the keyboard "heavier". The old curves 1 and 2 were merged into position 1 and the old curve number 3 was moved to position 2.

What you have to look for at the Nord website is the Download menu: https://www.nordkeyboards.com/downloads/legacy-products. There is such thing as a NP2 manual.
Which explains the same thing as the little symbols show: If off is a linear velocity curve, 1 means more power with less effort, 2 even more power with even less effort, while 3 is the opposite - you need to hit harder to get some decent sound.

Re: KBD touch with NP2 after update 1.2
that's exactly what I was looking for. thank you Ziegler and maxpiano. So the KBD TOUCH (LIGHT, MEDIUM OR HEAVY) setting on newer Pianos is therefore:
1 = Light
2 = Medium
3 = Heavy
what is OFF then?
1 = Light
2 = Medium
3 = Heavy
what is OFF then?

Re: KBD touch with NP2 after update 1.2
Should be the same as before, i.e. as specified on the manual When all LEDs are off, the default response curve is active. (and that default has not been changed)rex_rotari wrote:that's exactly what I was looking for. thank you Ziegler and maxpiano. Re: KBD touch with NP2 after update 1.2
is there a default curve a for certain piano sound? (not program)
to my ear setting 2 (what should be medium) sounds the most lightest actually... that's odd

It is not odd, it is right...read the manual... (and also the curve shown near the 2 setting on the panel suggests it)

Re: KBD touch with NP2 after update 1.2
I don't have the Piano 2. But if the behaviour with OS 1.2 is still the same as in 1.1x (the status of the manual), the KBD touch settings arerex_rotari wrote:that's exactly what I was looking for. thank you Ziegler and maxpiano. off = standard/medium
1 = light
2 = even lighter
3 = heavy
As I tried to say above.

Re: KBD touch with NP2 after update 1.2
there is no curve printed on the piano itself, and I checked again the manual, it is wrong. they describe setting 3 as lightest but that's setting 2. anyways, the last post by FZiegler is correct but setting 3 (heavy) and off is almost the same

Re: KBD touch with NP2 after update 1.2
Could it be that we are not talking about the same manual? I now checked the German one, and indeed, it's wrong. The English one is correct.
I stopped reading translated manuals as much as possible. Either it's a German product or I try to get along with the English manual.
