No, you cannot layer two sounds from the sample synth engine - whatever sound type it is. The Piano 4 has only 1 piano engine and 1 sample synth engine. Which means you can combine a sample from the Nord Piano library (only this) with a sample from the Nord Sample library 3 or any home-brewed sample in the nsmp3 format (wherever it's derived from - RMI or Nord or ...).

And as the Piano 4 is a piano with an additional sample engine, the focus is on piano playing with some additional stuff - meant to add some plus to a piano sound, not to play around with all types of sounds. The latter is left to the Stage 3 or the Nord Wave 2.

Spider already mentioned that you should read the manual so that you know a bit more about what you have.
Stage 3 Compact (Rev.B 2.1 - OS 2.60) - Kawai VPC1 / Yamaha CP33 - Hall of Fame & NeoVent2 - Behringer Flow-8 - K&M stands 18820+18811 / 18953+18952 - Samsung tablet with MobileSheetsPro & AirTurn Duo200 - QSC K8.2s / Fischer InEars

I think you mean mixing the sample library sounds with the piano library sounds. The result can be saved as a program. You can't mix program sounds with anything.

You cannot. That would require a Nord Stage (2 or greater), or the new Nord Piano 5.
