Cannot speak for the OP, but you simply cannot have enough Nord Grand.

At least Nord should make an option to chose the old velocity curves in the menu. Otherwise it will be a huge downer for early Nord Grand players, who love the original touch, when 1.61 and other firmware updates come out, giving new features, but forcing the new velocity curves out to everyone.
I love the feature for MIDI velocity curves, but I have downgraded to 1.54 to come back to the fantastic Nord Grand feel that I love to much.

I am planning to buy one too.. i have the stage 3 88 and the keybed feels very cheap and i am just proffesional musician( guitar ) and singer for many years and i have started piano for the last 8 months now.. with my very little playing experience i can feel that this fatar keybed of stage 3 doesnt worth the money we pay and i can feel in the playing that the action isnt good for real sensitive piano playing..

I am totally in love with this instrument and I am in chock about this "upgrade". Nord needs to add an option to select the old and new verlocity curves, while maintaining the MID velosicy curves ! Otherwise Nord --> Mord

I love your triple strategy!
Would reverting back to the prior OS be a better fit for you? It seems the only change with this update is the velocity curves. Going back to the prior version should make all 3 of your grands feel - well - grand! Good luck!

I tryed the keyboard before and after to make a comparison. I would say the heavy is now more useable (it's now possible to hit higher velocities a little easier) but with the medium setting I feel like I had a wider range of possibilities before the update. I was able to play consistently softer than now. Strange move from nord on this... At least these are my feelings, don't know if someone can confirm

Also my experience.
Medium was good in the previous firmware, but now I want a setting between medium and light.
Anyway getting used to it when playing a bit longer.
More of a chock… triple sensor is not implemented in MIdI out. Please see my separate topic.
