good Fender Jazz Bass

Am I the only one, who is unhappy with the bass samples in the 4.0 library?? The good old "Fend Jazz Fing Direct" would be enough...please Nord, convert the old Bass Sounds to version 4.0!

You can load the old .nsmp in your NP5, Nord Sound Manager should do the conversion.

Take an existing sample and replace it with the fender sample. Don't use a empty slot.

I don't have a NP5 but actually you reminded me of a discussion where someone else said that currently the conversion works up to .nsmp3 but not to .nsmp4, so actually the request to Nord should be to update the NSM so that also NP5 users can benefit of that feature...

EDIT: unlesss they already did, read here post156481.html

The function is "substitute". With this I get use in my old samples of my stage2 with the stage3

And now with Google...
with the function i was able to transfer the samples of my stage2 to the stage3. should also work with the bass sample.

:D

If you haven't yet played around with the Nord Sample Editor 4, it might be worthwhile for you to sample your Korg and check it out. Though my "master" sample WAV files often have every note sampled, you could try it simply sampling every 4th note (C, E, G# for example) and saving it as a NSMP4 file to try out. If the results look promising, you could spend more time on the sample file - some folks sample using a MIDI file so that every note has the same preset attack. Good luck to you.

This attempt is not about a Stage 3, but a Piano 5. Which reacts differently as far as I remember.

Wasn't it something like: You can convert your own old sample files into NSMP v.4, but not Nord's older files? Or the other way round? I don't fully remember.

Unfortunately, there are not so many Piano 5 users active on the forum. Electro and Stage users seem to be the majority.

Not sure what is supported in the NP5, but what version of the Sound Manager do you have?
v7.60 (2021-08-13): User created .nsmp files can now be converted to .nsmp4 format for use on Nord Piano 5
Latest version is v7.66

Latest OS is v1.24 (2022-07-19)
