I just bought a nord piano 5. I am brand new to nord and have been searching this forum for an answer to a question. If this topic has been discussed before, i apologize for the repeat question. I cant find this in a search:
Is there a way to globally adjust volumes on each area once you have the layers set? For example, I have two layers on the piano section and 2 layers on the sample and synth section. I like the balance between the 2 sides. If im playing live and need to adjust volume on one or the other section on the fly, I find it very frustrating to have to go into the zone and change the layer balances independently and then try to get back to playing in real time. What im hoping to find is a way to control the 2 area volumes independently and globally.
I guess what im really asking is, can you link the A and B layers to be controlled by the Volume Knob simultaneously on either the piano or the synth areas instead of just the A OR B sides?
Thanks

Re: Global volume control
If I understand your question in the right way, the answer is no:
a) You can change the overall volume of all 4 engines with the master volume knob;
b) you can change every single engine with the corresponding Level knob while the layer in question is active;
c) if I understand the manual correctly, you can change the volume of both engines (piano and sample synth) of the active layer simultaneously with a combination of [Shift] button and either piano or synth [Level] knob. Give it a try.
d) I don't see a way to change the volume for both layers of one engine type (piano + synth) simultaneously.

Re: Global volume control
I tried what you suggested. Pushing shift actually turned everything down or up on both the piano and the synth channels. Actually, it controlled all 4 layers at once. Interesting. Not Exactly what I was hoping for, but it did control everything. thanks for the reply. I'll keep experimenting.

Mmh, sorry. That's not what I'd expect, too. Bug?
