connected accidentally sustain pedal to right output

Post by cologne2023 »

Hi as the subject says today i connected the sustain peda of my nord piano 5l accidentally to the right output because also my cables are neutrik as the sustain pedal.
After i connected then to the sustain input the sustain was weird it was all the time on. Then i turned my nord piano 5 on and off and then all was ok.
Could i damage something with this mistake?

Thanks

Hi, no you won't damage anything (just if the your pedal is Normally Closed type you actually have short circuited that output, but it should have a protection for this); if your sustain pedal type is set to Auto in NP5 System options then it is normal you had to restart the NP5, to let it redo the autodetect.
