Case For Nord Grand??
I struggle with the case…. I dont know which one should be the best solution..
Nord grand is 21 kg and its expensive here in europe it goes for around 360 to 435 euros
The soft case for grand is 11 kg.. plus 21 the grand plus 2 kg the triple pedal plus some cables lets say 35 kg..
A good thon flight case custom made from thomann.de it will be around 15-16 kg but it is flight case plywood a lot more stronger quality. It doesnt get dirt like the soft case which can suck dust etc.. and its worth around 300 euros
But then with the grand inside and the triple pedal pedal will be for sure around 40 kg… which i dont know if i will be able to lift it to put it at my port package of my car… i already struggle a bit with my soft case 88 which is 8.2 kg and nord stage 3 (19kg ) inside which is around 29 kg with single nord pedal and some cables etc..
What is your opinion??
Any other lighter and also strong alternative solution for case the nord grand??
What are you using for your nord grand guys??
Thanks in advance for your time
Regards

Re: Case For Nord Grand??
Old style anvil flight cases made of plywood covered in ABS are very heavy and transmit vibration. I would look into an SKB, Gator, Pelican case which offer the same protection, transmit much less vibration and weigh much less.

The gator pelican is 13.2 kg.
Skb are 14.5.
These skb and gator case wont be able to have the triple pedal in…
I think nord soft case is the lightest safest way… but i hate that its sucking dust and gets dirty very easy.. and i am kind of psycho with cleaning…

Re: Case For Nord Grand??
I carry my Piano 5 73 in a Pelican Storm IM3200 case. It is a very close fit with custom foam, but is the lightest/strongest/most protective solution I could find. I carry my pedals, cables, and the other needed gear for shows in a lightweight but strong, waterproof tool box. My cases solutions have changed over the years as I optimized light weight and protection to this very workable compromise. YMMV, of course!

Re: Case For Nord Grand??
On teh soft-bag side, have you tried to look at the Stefyline KT series (padded bags with removable trolley) https://www.stefyline.com/en/custodie/t ... /serie-kt/ ?
I have been using use one with NS2 and other Digital Pianos of the same size/weight, se 3 pockets are shallower than the Nord bags but can still provide space to bring what you need to play it, including NTP (in the main pocket, the one which is as long as the whole bag).
There are various sizes and they can also build on-demand in case you need custom sizes (and I see they are distributed in Greece)

Yes weight is not published, you may ask directly to the Greek distributor (or later I may try to weigh mine)M1tsos wrote:I cant find their weight… i can only see dimensions and not weight in their site..maxpiano wrote:On teh soft-bag side, have you tried to look at the Stefyline KT series (padded bags with removable trolley) https://www.stefyline.com/en/custodie/t ... /serie-kt/ ?

The greek distributor of those cases is Philippos Nakas (tel: +0030-210-6686214); there is no website mentioned.
