I don't own any Nords at the moment but I'm tempted by a Piano in the area listed at $1500 OBO. I suppose I could unearth a manual online, but figure you folks are the experts. Can it be used to control a Lead 1 rack?

Yes it can as i transmits notes and controllers data via MIDI, but of course with quite some limits, not having the NP1 any pitch bend nor modulation wheel and not being designed to be a master keyboard (so,for example, you cannot assign a split or a specified zone to the MIDI expander). Much better a Nord Stage, to do that job.

PS: reading the manual to evaluate an instrument is always a good choice, "experts" may be wrong and/or have personal opinions...
