Hi, what is the background of your question? Is it a health issue in your eyes (headaches, cancer?), or is it because of playing electric guitar and getting noise from the piano into the guitar pickups?

I think, the piano isn't specially shielded. And it even doesn't have speakers built-in, so you will need additional e-field producing speakers or headphones to hear yourself playing.

By the way - I'm not a scientist. But I don't understand the measuring you encountered on your Kawai: If there is a strong electric field and no magnetic field at all, this must be DC, not AC. But would DC really be able to create a health issue? My first concern would be (pulsed) electromagnetic fields (from AC) - but you don't have that.

I am not an expert too, but as I understand measuring if you stay long time in that 'harmfull' e-field it can cause problems(not sure at 100% , just see that it is way beyond the 'normal' level), the main problem is that is is not only very near of piano, but even in 1-1,5m away from it, what is very strange for such device.
As you say I need speakers for nord, but I will put it far away that it is in kawai so it will be no problem at all.
And yes I am curious about health (I spend hours every day playing piano) in future and also for pickups from my guitar , my strat really hear it

I've been following keyboard forums for DECADES, and this is the very first time anyone has ever asked this question.

In general, modern keyboards are low-power digital devices. They use DC, don't draw much power, and don't emit much RF.

While I'll leave it to you to ascertain any discernible health issues, it's probably a lot less than a laptop, tablet, phone or other similar digital device.

I do understand your concerns but my first question is if your measurement is correct and reliable. The GM3120 is a VERY cheap device and I would not trust it's results a lot.

I had to look up your Kawai. It's a home instrument with amplifiers and big speakers that use magnets. So, yeah, you're going to pick up some RF activity nearby, just like you would next to a big stereo system.

The Nord keyboards don't have amplifiers and speakers.

What interests me is if you can tell for sure that this field is caused by your Kawai and not by anything else. Have you tried measuring the keyboard at another place in your house? The reason for asking is to avoid any possible impact from electrical or watering installations at this particular place.

But I think it is accurate
I used it a lot in different areas, when people used another brands and it was almost the same units all the time
