Clavia Nord Piano: interrupted sound???

Post by kriptorarea »

Hello to all!
I state that this piano is giving me great satisfaction.
The only "feature" in my opinion, the negative is that going from a sound example. floor arches, then with a long release, another feels that stops abruptly.
Other keyboards allow this step listen without interruption.

there is a way to change the sound without having this annoying interruption. I refer especially to use live in this beautiful piano!

thanks for future replies

KK

Hi, no there is no way, Clavia keyboards do not implement that feature, this is pretty well known, but usually NP2 should be considered as a Piano/El piano replacement so is it less requiring that imho

"Not implemented" and "bug" are different things...

(((I know what the two terms mean)))
I agree with the two differences (bugs and undeveloped) remain very disappointed because it is inevitable switch from one sound to another, and hear that annoying interruption of the sound makes it less "serious" attitude of the company as on who spends a lot on buy your product.
I'm not just the simple explanation of "Not Implemented" and "bug" are different things ... because today the customer, given the great crisis should perhaps have a different weight ...

Greetings!

The consumer can inform himself, test and choose what to buy before buying....

Hello guys,

I am not sure if I understand clearly the discussion above, but probably I wanted to ask the same question. So sorry if it is the same question that you guys had before...

Is it possible to let the first sound continue playing while switching to another sound? Or does the first sound always stop instantly as you switch to another sound and there is no way to change it?

Thank you for your tips...
Filip

@bootch: Not possible, so far, unfortunately.
In the NS2 at least, you have 2 slots in each program and can switch between them without affecting the sound of other slot, but the sound stops as soon as you change the program.

@kriptorarea: Yes the customer is always right and yes it is a desirable feature. This has been brought up so many times, that I am pretty confident that Clavia are well aware of it. If that functionality has not been added, it is probably not an easy thing to implement now, after the instrument has been designed.
People can vote with their money and buy something else instead, but obviously it is not making much of a difference as their instruments get all sorts of praise and awards. Perhaps it will change in future instruments designed with that goal in mind from the start... who knows!

The customer is not always right.

The customer often feels entitled to things and will complain because he does not realize the consequences.
