Nord Piano 3 Humming Noise
Hi everyone I am new to to fourm.
I recently got a Nord Piano 3 and really do love the keyboard.
After I power up the NP3 I hear a low buzzing noise coming off the board.
I am wounding if I have a problem with the internal power supply causing the noise.
Checking to see if any other users have experienced this problem.
It is most noticeable in my studio during quite practice and when recording.

I've heard it too.
Seems that the NP3 hum's... But the hummm is low so... I guess you cannot hear it when you play, even with low volume, do you? .
Just when the OS is loading and you are waiting to play...
Or when you stop playing.
Cheers

I can hear mine, especially from the OLED when it's booting. It quiets down noticeably after that. More a quirk than anything I care about.

Re: Nord Piano 3 Humming Noise
With my NP3 it's more of a constant low humming noise that dose not go away.
It is definitely more of an annoyance than anything.
I practice and record is a private sound proof studio off my house.
I don't remember this kind of noise coming off other stage pianos I have owned.

Unfortunately I can also hear high noise in the speakers. Even when I'm playing, the noise still can be heard. It really bothers me now, can't get used to it. Even when the volume is low, the noise doesn't go anywhere

Hi,
If it's from the speakers, first check your cables, interferences, connections, etc... It should not be there.
Cheers

Re: Nord Piano 3 Humming Noise
I agree that this high noise is more likely from audio system than from Nord, unless perhaps you have the Nord connected via USB to the same system...?

I hear noise in the headphones Sony 7506 and Sennheiser. No USB and other devices connected.

Re: Nord Piano 3 Humming Noise
not sure what to say about that -- that's completely different from the transformer hum

Re: Nord Piano 3 Humming Noise
Yep, mine hums too. It's not external audio equipment (still have it with nothing connected to the unit) - it's something in the power section of the keyboard. It actually just started. I know this because I am using a Spacestation external amp, and IT hums. And I knew that my setup was completely silent when the Spacestation was off. Now, with it off, I thought it was on and went to check. Sure enough, the amp was off, but the hum is there. It is not that quiet.. it is pretty loud.
