Using Nord Lead with Roland PK-5 in BASS mode

Postby Ferro Barbieri » 20 Aug 2018, 23:51

I just purchased an original Lead synth module and wish to use it to create bass notes using the Roland PK-5 midi foot pedal control unit. I can get the Roland to work with the LEAD only when the foot pedals are in POLY mode which prevents me from holding a note without physically keeping my foot on the PK-5 pedal. When I put the Roland into the BASS mode, the NORD LEAD gives me a terrible static sound which remains the same regardless of which patch I have the NORD LEAD on.

As a work around, I have the PK-5 in poly mode and have connected a hold pedal to the NORD but this prevents me from using my doubling feature on the foot pedals AND I see and issue arising when I connect an external sequencer between the PK-5 and the NORD since I would wish for previous notes played to turn off when successive notes are triggered.

Has anyone else run into this issue? Is it solvable?
