I like the interface and sound of Lead A1, although a Lead 4 could be even better for me. My problem is the keybed. It is pointless compared to Stage 3 Compact. It feels horrible.
The question is: How hard is it to find and a rack version? They seem to be owned moslty by people who love them and like to hold on to them. I don't know how many have been manyfactured anyway.
Fitting the synth in a rack with my audio interface, connected and ready to go, would make it worth using on stage.

Nord Rack's. How common are they?

I see a few up on Reverb.com.
You could consider an older Lead, such as a 2X Rack. I had one for years and it was very useful.

Alright. I haven't yet seen one on sale in Finland. Not in 3 years of following the largest online marketplace.

Hmmm. That might be a sufficient option.

I appreciate the offer but I'll have to sell my LA1 first... And I'm not sure I'd want such an old model.

Re: Nord Rack's. How common are they?
The latest models (4r and A1r) are very hard to come by, they were available for a very limited time.
The 4r I would consider to be the most rare of them all (rarer than the 3 and modular)
I have been always after one...
Settled on two A1rs (they are pretty).
I've bought both of them in Sweden. I had to stay around 3 years weekly checking local adds, no secret to it.
As you mention, those you have them love them, and that's how I feel. Never plan to sell them. Although I've sold my Rack2x, Rack2 and Rack1, I cannot stand the lack of init patch on them anymore, I don't have time as I used to
Good luck on your hunt!

Well, the more I read into this, the more I go back to thinking I don't need a new synth. Sure it would be nice, but a simpler setup is easier any way. Goddamnit.
