Re: Nord Rack 2x performance program change

In the NS2, you have 4 banks with pages (1 to 20) and programs (1 to 5) and the ProgChng should address all those.
The $bank is 00, 01, 02 or 03 (for A-D)
The $prog =(Page-1)*5+(Program-1)
For MIDI channel 1 (bytes b0 [twice] and c0 below) the whole sequence is:
b0 00 00 b0 20 $bank c0 $prog

Would it be similar in the NL2x?

edit: there was a missing 00

iMIDIPatchbay now finally works for me and my L2X. My settings right now (if I recall it right):

Device = iRig MIDI
Channel = 1 (which is also my global channel on the L2X)
Send ... = checked
Program* = if performance 0 -> 99 (L2X display: A0 -> L9), if program 0 -> 98 (L2X display: 1 -> 99)
Bank MSB = off
Bank LSB = if performance 0 -> 3, if program 0 -> 9

The manual for the JV1010 was a big help, since I cracked the code on the JV first. ;)

*) You have to manually set the L2X in program or performance "gear" prior to start sending commands ...

Looped through bank 0..9 and Program 0 ...108 on the NL2X Rack (using custom software)

Program/Bank mode
====================
Note If you only send a program change, the bank won't change.
1. Send a controller change on selected channel (0 for Midi CH1), parameter 32, value = bank
Bank 0 is not displayed.
2. Send a program change on the channel (value = program)

NL2x Display Bank Program
1...99 0 0...98
P0..P9 0 99..108
1.1...1.99 1 0...98
1.P0..1.P9 1 0...108
2.1...2.99 2 0...98
2.P0..2.P9 2 0...108

8.P0..8.P9 8 0...108 (*)
9.1...9.99 9 0...98
9.P0..9.P9 9 0...108 (*)

(*) Displays the patch but does not have any effect (NL2X uses last selected valid patch)
All banks above 9 have no effect on the display or sound
All programs above 108 have no any effect on the display or sound

Performance mode
================

Set global midi channel to 11 (for example) (Shift + Midi Channel => Press Midi chaneel again)
Send Bank select (paramter 32) on channel 10 (value 0 = Bank 0) Bank 0 is not displayed.
Send midi program change message on channel 10 (value 0 = program A0)
(Sending Midi with channel 0 will match channel 1 selected on the Lead)

... but you have to manually on the Leads panel select program or performance mode, not by MIDI - is my assumption correct?
