Re: Nord lead 5
For me, the first thing Clavia has to decide is if they will stick with multiple synth models or not.
It's true that they often had more than one synth in their catalogue at the same time (Leads, Modular, Wave) but they were always quite different from one another.
Now, I feel the L4 and A1 are not so different, and are probably cannibalizing each other's sales.
So Clavia may decide to stick to its Lead roots (Lead5, pure synth with full knob-per-function interface) and/or add something completely different.
It's true that the synth in the Stage 3 is almost a finished new product in itself, so it could be easily brought into production: streamlined "A1" shortcut-driven interface, sample playback, expanded polyphony, new screen, aftertouch...call it a Lead A2 or maybe... a Wave2?
Whatever it will be, please Clavia please, use a better quality keybed with aftertouch.
These instruments are way too good for that cheap action.

Re: Nord lead 5
Summer NAMM Begins July 13th. Maybe they will show something new. But, I think it's not very likely.

Re: Nord lead 5
Frankly with a Nord Lead 5 i'd like to basically see the A1 and 4 merged together with the Arpeggiator, Morph Options (aftertouch) and multi-filter options of the NL3. Throw in some scannable wavetables (a much demanded feature) and the FM from the Wave and you would have a pretty beastly synthesizer.

Re: Nord lead 5
Quoted for truth and importance
I think more mod Env destinations could be solved with one physical ADSR row, one button row to select the number of auxillary envelope (you could have many) and one button to hold while touching modulation targets to add modulation. And another show button to display modulated targets.
The env button could be separated from the filter and cycled per aux target, so the same envelope could modulate different targets, but the targets could respond with different strength.
+ SCREEN please (still think you should be able to use a bluetooth keyboard or your phone to input patch names)

Sample !
Rack !
Normal screen to see the name of the patches and samples
This would be enough to replace my NL4R !
But if possible :
- Chorus ensemble from the A1
- Detune of the OSC1
- More LFO and Mod Env destinations
- A third LFO
- A second filter
- EQ !
- More polyphonie
- No Midi channel limitation for the thru mdi out (only 1 channel can pass with the NL4)
- OSC String from the G2
- A smal sequencer (like Prophet 6 would be enough)
- External power if needed to make all this match in a rack !
For the keyboard :
- 61 keys
- Aftertouch !!!
OR... A G3 with sample and filters of the NL4 (no other comments) !
