Nord Lead 1: level of aliasing

Post by dwarves_ »

Hello

I just bought a lovely 12 voice Lead 1. It sounds delicious. However, I am noticing quite a bit of aliasing on the sound. The length of the aliasing sound is the same as the length of the release/decay. The aliasing sound is similar to the aliasing on the MegaFM synth (the one with the Sega Megadrive chips). The aliasing is very noticable when the filter is almost closed. I am wondering if it is normal to hear the aliasing this clearly. I don’t mind the aliasing, but if the Nord is malfunctioning, I have to return it.

With “aliasing” I mean that the sound is super lo-fi when the filter is almost closed. Check the sound of the MegaFM. It is very similar.

Thank you.

PS: I had a Nord Rack 2, and I never heard aliasing or “hissing” notes.
