NLA1 - clarification of global vibrato
I'm reading criticisms of global vibrato in the NLA1. I'm wondering what global means in this context.
Does it mean its rate/amount must be shared by all patches?
Does it mean the front panel settings for delay/wheel must be shared by all patches?
If the answer to these is yes to both questions then its like the entire keyboard output is running through an external vibrato pedal?
I'd like to split the keyboard with bass in the left hand and a simple saw synth in the right hand but have delayed vibrato on the right hand part only. Is that possible?
Thanks!

Re: NLA1 - clarification of global vibrato
I don't know if there is a global vibrato (maybe there is). But the normal vibrato is applied per slot. You can definitely do what you're asking. There's a timed delay with 2 settings (but no aftertouch activation). Or you can use a morph to apply it at your leisure, using the wheel or a control pedal (which probably makes more sense as you're playing left hand bass).

The amount and rate settings are global for all patches. Which is really highly stupid. I really don't get who this makes any musical sense. You can activate and deactivate it per slot.

Re: NLA1 - clarification of global vibrato
Ah, yes those settings are global, good point. I don't know if I'd call it highly stupid (I do know, I wouldn't). I've never found it to be a limitation, not that I'm pushing any boundaries. I guess you could fiddle around with an LFO to get around it if it did get in the way.
And just to clarify a mistake I made in my last post. The vibrato can be set to delay 1, delay 2 or wheel. When you use wheel, it's only the physical wheel that controls vibrato amount, the control pedal won't control it. I found that out the hard way. In a program, a mono lead type thing, I had a few parameters set to morph with the wheel/pedal. And I also had vibrato set to wheel. I'd been playing a lead line and using my left hand to control the wheel, opening the LP filter, bringing up the resonance amount, and bringing on some vibrato. Then I decided I needed my left hand for something else, and tried with the pedal. All the morphs changed with the pedal, but I didn't get my vibrato, which was a bit of a bummer. So I went back to using my left hand on the wheel.

Re: NLA1 - clarification of global vibrato
It's curious that the pedal didn't trigger vibrato. I don't know how recently you've tried, but is it possible there wasn't enough gain on the pedal to reach the maximum (assuming the maximum is needed to trigger vibrato)? I see there's a pedal gain setting in the System Menu.

How should the LFO help, if you want different Vibrato amount or rate settings? Those settings are global for all patches. So you can’t have a slow and a fast vibrato for any two or more slots.

Re: NLA1 - clarification of global vibrato
Simulating vibrato by modulating pitch with an LFO was the workaround I was intimating.
@kelpchofs yes it's annoying, but it is by design. The wheel setting on vibrato is not connected with the control pedal at all. But wheel/pedal setting for morphing links them.

Re: NLA1 - clarification of global vibrato
And how do you do that, when the OSC config doesn't allow to mod pitch with the LFO? This would only be possible in one config, which is single.
Sorry, but the vibrato is just stupidly limited.

Re: NLA1 - clarification of global vibrato
Hahaha, man, I had the A1 for years...you don’t have to explain it to me. At all the other configs, you are stuck to the global vibrato, which I mentioned in the post before. Tiger.
