I just bought a new NL4R today. I love the impulse morph feature, it would be amazing if there was/is some way to gently transition from your patch to the impulse morph setting i.e. a time lag between the new settings kicking in...it's definitely cool to hit the button and hear instant changes, but sometimes I find it too abrupt and a gentle transition would sound really great I think.
It's my first day!!! Sorry if this is a noob/RTFM....I read the manual, couldn't see if what i'm describing is possible or not? can anyone let me know? thanks!

Re: NL4 impulse morph delay/transition adjustable?
I also agree that an adjustable lag rim for this would be super valuable.

Re: NL4 impulse morph delay/transition adjustable?
...so I'm guessing that's a "no"?
So, a more general question - how does one go about making feature requests to Clavia? Is there another forum/area for this, on this site or elsewhere?
Perhaps an impulse morph lag control could be introduced in a system update. I'm sure there's still some spare shift + switch combinations left.

Re: NL4 impulse morph delay/transition adjustable?
I've been posting here and sending messages to them via their website. I've gotten responses but nothing confirming that any of my requests would be implemented. I think this is a real valid request though and would really add a lot to this feature. If they added a lag time to the feature how long of a lag do you think would be good? I love creating drone oriented material. I'd love to see maybe even a minute plus.

Re: NL4 impulse morph delay/transition adjustable?
I will request this feature directly to them too. Strength in numbers eh, the more people ask the more likely it is to happen.
Having spent a few days now with the Nord, an impulse morph time lag control seems almost like a no-brainer - it would be so useful.
At it's most basic, a simple set time on/off lag would still be useful - the impulse morphs can be so drastic they can make you jump out of your chair - but not always in a good way! You know the way a sound with a fast attack sometimes just needs backing off/smoothing to remove the annoying click at the start, or vice versa for note release - that would be a start. I think that could be implemented in a menu as an on/off feature.
But much better of course would be a lag with speed control, I'm with you - the wider the range the better - I love long evolving soundscapes/pads - entire ambient songs (not boring ones!) could be created with just one patch, a 2 mins time lag and the seven impulse morph switches!
So I'd like to see a range from a few milliseconds to loooong
If anyone from Clavia reads this, do please give this some consideration it seems to me to be a simple augmentation of the amazing impulse morph function which you've already implemented.

the more asking the merrier for sure. id like the feature for the same reasons you suggest! id be all over the morph buttons if that happened.

Re: NL4 impulse morph delay/transition adjustable?
I sent them an email requesting this feature.
To other users reading this...if you like this idea (what's not to like?) and would like to see it implemented please send a brief email to Clavia and we'll have it soon!!!!

Re: NL4 impulse morph delay/transition adjustable?
I do not fully understand what is this intending to achieve, to delay the jump between states or to make the transition smooth?
The former would be to add a timer delay, the latter might not be possible because the impulse morph deals with some "selector" parameters that (I think) have no intermediate states, so you might probably hear a jump in some patches.

Re: NL4 impulse morph delay/transition adjustable?
"or to make the transition smooth?"
This, for me anyway. I think for the stuff with no intermediate states, jumps would be fine. If not a neat creative option. For drones, long evolving patches could be achieved which would be sooooooo cool.

Re: NL4 impulse morph delay/transition adjustable?
Yes, it would be good, but I can't see that happening for things that are switched, like wave types. They will always jump.
