I'm using a Roland MC909 Groovebox to sequence my Lead A1, but I want to just control notes with the 909, not volume or anything else with the sliders and knobs. I've tried every setting I can think of on the A1 and the MC909, but cannot make this happen. Any tips?
The problem is that the 909 sound from the corresponding channel plays when sequencing the Nord, because I can't turn the 909's inbuilt patch volume sound off without turning down the A1 as well. If the A1 was not responding to volume via midi commands, all would be fine. Help, please.

Thanks. I would be grateful if you could please tell me exactly how to do that, because I have tried many settings and can't get it to happen.pablomastodon wrote:disable reception of midi cc's on Nord

Edit: Turning CC to OFF stops most 909 knobs from impacting on the A1, but the volume slider on the 909 still affects the A1's volume, which is what I'm trying to avoid.
