I recently bought an excellent condition Nord rack 2 with an original Nord Sound PCMCIA card (Sound Library Card NR:4) by Clavia. The card's original battery had died so I replaced it and tried it with several new ones, but I am still not able to save nor access performances or programs above 1-99. I can not scroll past P9 and get blinking lights when I try to save performances or programs above 1-40.
Here's the kicker though: On my midi sequencer (Elektron Digitakt) I am able to access the card's 297 programs in banks 2 and 3 by switching the sub banks (2/3) and then changing the programs (2.01-3.99). When I remove the battery from the PCMCIA card, I can not access any of these new sounds. While I can access and hear the new programs, I still can not save them, and I can only access them on my sequencer. When I press the up/down button on the Nord, it goes back to programs 1-99.
Seems like card's battery works because I can only access the new sounds when it's in, but can only do so via my sequencer.
Any idea on what's happening here?
