Hi all,
I am having trouble to prevent the NL A1 from sending expression pedal signals to MIDI OUT.
I use the A1 on top of the NE5, and connect it as a second manual to the NE to play organ sounds. The NE has its own expression pedal, abd I want to be able to mix the A1 and NE sounds with the two expression pedals. Unfortunately, althouth I set CC pedal in the A1's Midi settings to "off", it still adjusts both the NE's and the A1's volume.
Any ideas?
Cheers,
Timo

I think the MIDI 2 menu is just for front panel knobs, and controller-type features like wheel/stick and pedals aren’t affected. Presumably you have System menu 6 set to Volume. How about you set that to Morph? Does the A1 continue to transmit CC7? (Sorry, I can’t check this myself as I currently have my studio packed up prior to a move). If so, you’d lose your simple global-level pedal volume, but you could tweak the A1 sounds you use so that their Output level is a pedal-morphed parameter. Could give you the same outcome, more or less, without transmitting CC7 to the Electro. Worth a go maybe.

Re: NLA1 - Disable sending expression pedal to MIDI?
Thanks for the hint.
Yes I have System menu 6 set to volume. Setting it to morph is not a solution, because I'd like to have the pedal-based volume mixing with the NE5 as a general confugration, independent of the select patch/program.
If nothing helps I will consider a midi filter device between the two keyboards, or volume pedal on the line out cables.
I find it quite suprising that the CC7 transmit cannot be disabled, in my eyes this setup should be rather common...
