True, but I think it's a pretty safe bet that the seamless transitions required new hardware. It's one of the most substantial changes in functionality. I also remember reading (whether true or not?) that the additional hardware capability could have been used for either a third panel OR seamless transition between the two, and they chose the latter.

I agree. But if they supported the new format, and the new format does indeed include default envelope settings for samples, that would be a huge benefit for an Electro, as I discussed at post97160.html#p97160
