Using Mainstage with NE4

Hi Everyone, Thank you for accepting me onto this forum. I’m the keyboard player in a wedding/function band and I was wondering if anyone has used Logic Pro X’s Mainstage with their Nord Electro (4HP)? Apple say that Mainstage is for use in live gigs but I just wonder if Nord Users are confident enough to use it in a live setting.

Hi Tim and welcome!

There have been several topics about using a Nord keyboard with Apple Mainstage.
I guess the answer depends of your mac is able to run mainstage and all the (external) plugins you would like to use.
So if you have enough cpu/memory power.

I never really used it in a live situation because I don't trust my macbook to be able to keep it up all night long. But if you have a newer model mac, it shouldn't be any problem.
Unless you're trying to run a 8GB memory consuming plugin on a mac that has only 8GB of memory.

Thank you for your help Berretje, I had a look through the previous messages re Mainstage but I couldn’t find any relating to NE4 hp. It’s a good tip to make sure the laptop is powerful enough to manage Mainstage- I’m trying to buy a laptop just now so I’ll bear that in mind
