Ferrofish is a cool box, better for its controls than its sounds. But it probably wouldn't work on a Nord, because IIRC you cannot change which MIDI CCs it sends from its drawbars, and odds are slim that it happens to use the same numbers as Nord. So it's more useful as a controller for a VST organ, Gemini module, etc... i.e. something that, itself, lets you define what MIDI controller # should be used for its drawbar controls. IOW, you have to be able to adjust the numbers on either the sending unit or the receving unit. Since the Ferrofish doesn't have that adjustability on what it send and the Nord does not have that adjustability on what it receives, you'd be stuck. One of the two would have to be more flexible.

Or you could put a midi processor between the Ferrofish and the Nord. Lots o small boxes that will allow you to filter and process midi data.
