I have just bought a pre owned Electro 2. The last owner swopped out the acoustic piano for another electric and I want it back.
I tried to download the Windows driver a Nord Electro Tool v3.00 which I downloaded cant find my Electro. It just downloads a .sys file that I have no idea what to do with. I presume it needs to go somewhere to become active? I just copied it onto my desktop for now. Is it mean to self load or something? or do I move it somewhere? I tried it on several computers and get the same result.
I tied downloading Electro Tool onto a Mac but it says the file type isn't supported any more.
Can anyone please tell me how to get a computer to talk to my Electro 2.
I'll have to sell it again if not as its the Grand piano I need most though the organ as well (hence not buying a Piano).
Many thanks!!!

Re: USB Driver Electro 2
Hi nickalliott,
You haven't specified which version of Windows you are using, but please note the info at the Clavia site:
Nord Electro USB Driver Setup.zip
This USB driver is only compatible with 32-bit versions of Windows XP, Vista, Windows 7 and Windows 8. Connect the Electro 2 to the computer and use the Add Hardware Wizard to install the driver. You can also install the driver in the Windows Device Manager.
I guess that the sys file description for WIn to do the installation is given in the electro.inf file included in the download?

Re: USB Driver Electro 2
Many thanks! I was on 64 bit. Found an old vista at work on 32 and it has worked a treat. Phew!!! I had tried everything but hadn't spotted the 32 bit importance.
