Hi guys. I feel sure I’m about to ask the single dumbest question on this forum, but my excuse is that I‘m a guitar guy, so here goes: I just bought an Electro 6, and I cannot figure out how to turn off programs. If I want to start at nothing, perhaps pick an organ, add reverb and go... Surely one doesn’t start with a program than turn all the selections off in order to start choosing sound selections from the start? I’ve poured through the manual, searched the vast reaches of the interwebs... nothing. I’m sure it’s something stupid simple, but how do I turn this thing on and start choosing what I want from the ground up, vs subtracting what I don’t want from a program first?
Thanks for your help...

Hi, actually creating a "blank" program is an option, the other is to use the PROG INIT function (see manual) and initialize a Program having only one section activated (with default settings).

Re: Turn programs off?
As Maxpiano says: hold shift and push ”prog init” (program 3 button) and then choose what section you want to start with!

Re: Turn programs off?
The truth is that you can not switch to "nothing at all", there must be a starting point. The electro is an electromechanical instruments emulator, so it is natural to behave like one of those, when you power up an organ e.g. some settings are always on, then you tweak.
What you have to do is decide what engine (organ, piano or sample) will be your starting point, turn on only this and disable all effects. Then start sculpting the sound to your taste, when you are satisfied just save your program. What if you are only interested in a pure organ sound while your program contains by default a piano and a sample? ignore the other two and use just the organ, So simple!
