Thanks for the suggestion. But the button works fine as long as I'm not in Program mode. Maybe I should take some more readings before hitting the forums :-)

Not sure what you mean being in Program mode, I guess you mean you are not in Song mode, but in that case it has to work (unless you have memory protection still ON). Anyway a careful and full reading of NE6 manual is always a good thing to do ;)

Absolutely!
Altough my second hand Electro 6D was in a pristine condition, the Shift, Store and Vibrato (in the organ section) buttons were behaving strangely. The solution was simply to spray some KF F2 Contact Cleaner and that solved the problem in a minute.

Updating this thread with some bad news for me: my Electro 6D v2.62 is still having the « Store Program Cancelled » bug.
I opened my NE6 and cleaned the buttons but still.
In fact it doesn’t look like a hardware problem because once the bug appears, nothing can make it disappear except for a reboot (either hardware reboot with the power button or through an update). As soon as the reboot is done it’s working again, even if it didn’t work for a whole hour before.

So i tried to downgrade the OS version to no better results.

I’m stuck, no Nord shop here and the sent back cost is huge. I don’t know what to do :-(

Update! :thumbup:
I mustered up my courage and opened the box again.

==> IT REALLY WAS A HARDWARE PROBLEM, THE F...... SPRING OF THE Shift/exit BUTTON was the main culprit.
It caused the message "Store Program cancelled".

My previous spray of cleanser helped a bit but at the end it was a very mechanical problem.
By trials and errors (remove, put back, remove, put back, etc) I managed to make the spring work again. I did the same for the other 3 buttons which were loosy. I will add some photos of this spring and its location.

Some remarks:
Strangely after a reboot the buttons worked for a while and then acted erratically.
While working on the problem, of course one of the springs jumped out of its box and went to get lost somewhere in the room :shock: . Now I have the "Percussion Third" button that no longer works. It's no big deal because I really didn't use it.
But because there is a possibility that this will happen again in the future, I gladly take any information on how and where to buy this little piece, if one of the gentlement here know it.

You may buy a button from there and take the spring of this spare part button
