I have a few different keyboard/synths/pianos which gives me some luxuries, but the Electro 6 gets the most mileage, both for live settings and studio work.

A few thoughts:
- As far as splits, there are LOTS of options...for example, Clavinets make awesome bass lines and the programming flexibility of these voices is exceptional
- The organs also have a lot of flexibility and capability and can 'dupe' strings pretty well, winds are hard because of the amplitude envelope, but for brass and woodwind "section" pads there is some great utility
- This opens up a lot of flexibility independent of the sampled sounds

Regarding the pitch bend...I have found that the Nord receives pitch bend, but only seems to apply it to the organ sounds, and some of the synth patches. It's very selective. None of the pianos seem to respond...

Couple things...first shmuelyosef...want to confirm what you said about pitch bend. You have an E6 and the organ and certain samples do respond to it via MIDI? I could find nothing in the user manual about this...I thought it had been dropped as a feature from the E5. Might change my view on getting an E6.

Second...re the OP, I understand you can only have one instance of each engine playing at a time. Strange though...on the Nord web site...if you go to the promo video for the E6...at about 7:55 it appears two different samples are being played simultaneously via a split. The caption even identifies the two samples with a slash. Am I missing something?

Check the release notes, it was added in an update in June of 2018.

This is the video: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=h0_2jLLHUhA

The sounds are Fat Fifth JX-3P and SynthBass12 from here: https://www.nordkeyboards.com/sound-lib ... raries/all

I think chorus, compression, a little delay and reverb will get you there with a single sound, each.

But how do you get there without being able to select two sample library sounds at the same time on an E6?

Took a closer look and listen to the video...unfortunately I think he is only playing one synth sound at a time. You can see him switch in the middle. I could only test out the Fat Fifth sound since I only have an E4 and can only load 2.0 versions but that was enough to confirm it for me. Still...I think this is a but deceptive as it leaves the impression you can play two synth sounds at once...not that I think Clavia was trying to do this intentionally....I hope.

SynthBass 12 is available in the 2.0 format too, it is in the Bass (not synth) category https://www.nordkeyboards.com/sound-lib ... ry-20/bass

I’m not sure how this could be “deceptive”? You can see him switch sounds as he plays, right there on the panel.

It’s no more “deceptive” than showing him playing things that obviously aren’t “Synth Bass” with a synth bass sound.

Look closely, and you can see how he does it — using the instrument as intended.
