OTOH, if (for example) Nord comes out with a new Rhodes sound, and you want to use it in place of the Rhodes sound you used in a whole bunch of songs, the E5 approach means you can change one program and those songs will all change; on the E6, you'll have to change it separately for each song.
Having said that I'd prefer that the Song feature had been maintained, on NE6 to handle that situation you would rather make the changes via Nord Sound Manager (which you have to use anyway to load the new sample), either on all Programs which used the old one with the "Substitute" function (mandatory if you are replacing the old one) or with the "Relink" at single or group of programs level (you can use the Find... and Organize/Sort features of the Program tab to makes this task faster)
OTOH on NE5 in case you are adding the new sample but not replacing and you want to make the change only on some of the songs, you have to duplicate the original Program, select the new sample on it and select that Program only on those songs. So imho there are pros and cons in both cases, it depends on the situation and objective.
