sample section nord electro 3 gone

hi guys,

I’m a new subscription and i have a very big problem.
My nord electro 3 73 doesn’t load correctly samples anymore.
I tried to format and reinstall the factory set, more and more, but the problem is still there.
I don’t know why sometimes some samples are charged correctly.
most of the times it produce only glitching sounds

Please someone can help me?

I am sorry but I am afraid you need to have your NE3 checked by an authorized service as, given the symptoms and the actions you correctly already attempted, this could be a HW failure. I suggest you contact https://www.master-service.it who is the official service for Nord in Italy.

PS: does it happen with Piano samples, Synth samples or both?

Well, not many other options... so it happens to both, Piano & Sample Synth, but Organ works fine, (right)?

OK, so it could be related to the Flash RAM memory chips holding the samples and not the whole DAC, anyway a HW check is required. Good luck.

PS: since it is out of warranty, you may also try to open and clean it, in case there is just some dust or debris on the mainboard causing some contact.

Yes, organ section is still working...

I have in mind that the organ section, because it doesn‘t need touch dynamics, only responds to one key sensor, whereas both the piano as well as the sample section need the input of two contacts to know the touch. So it may well be, that only the contact strips are dirty or used. Does the problem occur over the full range of keys or perhaps only some parts?

It would be easier, but audio glitches of samples (what OP reported "only produces glitching sounds") have nothing to do with velocity
