That makes perfect sense. Do you feel the same about the NS3 compact, which apparently shows the active drawbar settings in the OLED display? I haven’t tried one, so I really have no basis for an opinion of my own.
I could imagine it may be a poor substitute for the digital drawbars if the display is too small or if disappears after a few seconds
The combination of real drawbars and having the setting displayed on the OLED as on the Stage 3 compact is a perfect setting for me.
I'm pretty miffed that the drawbars aren't shown when in Song mode, because I've come to rely upon them.
FWIW, the primary reason for selling my Stage 2 compact was the fact that they'd added real drawbars to the Stage 3 compact model.
It's a completely different player because of it.
