Everything IMHO...

Hell, yeah, I know that.... I'm going back to tell my wife that I'm not a gear addict, I'm just a poor cover keys player... :D

I play in two cover bands, and as I've downloaded more sounds to my Electro 5D, I've gotten to point where I don't even need my other boards for gigs. The Roland and the Yamaha now sit in my house when I play out. Programmed properly, the Electro does everything I need.

same here.. play in a cover band or two. unless you absolutely need mod wheel/portomento type control for your synth sounds, there's nothing this little box can't do. (can cure your asthma too).

I don’t get it. What’s the point of starting a conversation here by just shouting you think the NE5 is overpriced? It leads to nowhere in my opinion. In my years of making music I bought so many instruments and effects that turned out not to be the ones I liked or needed most. I just sold them and bought new gear. Thats the fun of having a hobby right? :-) I think the NE5 is worth its money. I tried some cheaper instruments but they just didnt have all the good stuff I find in my NE5. I totally agree with duplobaustein, Nord and Apple are the more expensive products. But the are also the most fun to use products. Hope you can sell your NE5 for a good price and find an instrument you do like.
Some music I play keys on Apple and Spotify

Guys...he just registered to vent.

He made two posts, got it off his chest and left. You’re arguing with a phantom.

Kind of why I didn't get involved. Wasn't worth the effort.

You're going to like something or you're not. If you do, great. If not, please move on and leave the rest of us alone.

Sorry that I didn't reply faster but actually figured to wait a bit and let the static die down.
I used to own a ROLAND Rd170 VERY good features. Things it had that the NORD HP5 doesn't:
Ability to layer more than two sounds. Actually could have 16 at once, if I used a slave keyboard.
Ability to switch sounds and continue the prior sound. With the Nord as soon as I switch the first sound cuts out.
Custom Splits so that I could adjust at any point on the keyboard instead of standard middle C and a few others.
Way more sounds and very realistic organs and brass.
A rhythm beat generator with decent patterns.
And more.
What I do like about Nord:
Piano is decent. Nice Action. Light weight and the "LOOK FOLKS, I got a NORD" WOW factor. Kind of like a BMW... bring my wallet.
I have a 1 year old Nord HP5 for sale... contact me---negotiable price.
