Hello everyone I would like to know if it is possible to adjust the sensitivity of the keyboard of the nordelectro 6 used as master ... I tried to connect it to external plug-ins and they all play at maximum dynamics. Thanks for your help

Re: Nord electro key sensibility
Ciao Gio
and a very warm welcome to this wonderful forum of nord enthusiasts. You‘ll always find good help and ideas here.
As far as your question is concerned: When you say Master, you mean that your NE6‘s keys are played, and that the sound itself comes from an external modul, right?
And when you talk about „maximum dynamics“, do you mean that it uses the full range of loud and soft notes, or do you mean that it plays „always at max“?
The normal situation should be that it uses the dynamic at its max, i. e. from soft to full. You can adjust the response to your key feel with the button KBD TOUCH - this reduces the dynamic range a bit, but there still is one.
Does this help a bit?

NE6 transmits velocity via MIDI, there is no setting to exclude that (Dynamics works on the internal generator only); which plugins are you using and on which host/DAW? Maybe the issue is there, look also at MIDI messages from NE6 with a MIDI Monitor, so see which velocity it sends.

Re: Nord electro key sensibility
On my Electro 3, I find the velocity sent for a key pressed, via the MIDI out, varies based on whether or not an organ program or a piano/EP program is selected. If I select an organ preset on my Electro, the velocity sent via MIDI is maximum velocity (or close to it). If instead I select an acoustic piano or electric piano program on my Electro, the velocity sent via MIDI to an external synth shows much more variation in velocity.

This is normal behaviour as the nord‘s organ section mimics an original Hammond which didn‘t have any touch sensitivity.

Good point, not sure if on NE6 it is still like that (which is why I suggested the OP to check with a MIDI Monitor too) but could be the case.

Seen it, it says "the Nord Electro 6 transmits and receives Keyboard velocity messages." but it doesn't say "always" with regards to transmission neither if it sends as a fixed value when using Organs, so since on NE3 it was that way, I'd keep a little doubt to check (or other NE& owners may clarify)

Re: Nord electro key sensibility
I guess it’s publicly well known that a Hammond has never had any touch sensitivity as far as the volume dynamics are concerned and that it would therefore be a step backwards in „imitating the idol“ if a manufacturer would implement that. So I bet that no nord product offers it.

Re: Nord electro key sensibility
??? I don't get your point, Tasten-Bert. Of course, a Nord B3 won't play with velocity - like a Hammond. But this thread is about MIDI transmission of key hits - which should not be the same. Therefore the manual for OS 2.6 says, the internal Electro 6 organ engine will ignore incoming velocity messages while playing, but is sending and receiving velocity. Interestingly the manual for older OSes doesn't say anything about velocity - they seem to have changed at least velocity curves between OS 2.5x and 2.6 - that's why there is a System setting for legacy velocity MIDI curves.
