Once again that would no longer be an electo. What you want already exists, its called a Nord Stage

I'm sure some answered that when some others asked for multitimbrality in the Electro line ;)

and with the E6 looking more like a stage in structure you can see the transition to having an A/B as well as multitimbrality and hey presto you have a stage! (minus the synth)

Or Nord are thinking of lining up the Electro with the stage so it is an easier and therefore more likely progression for people to buy the Stage and thus make more $$$

Just buy the best keyboard you can that covers your needs for your budget and you'll have a great time.

The more equal Electro and Stage boards are - the better!

I choose to carry my 8.5kg Electro 5 61 with bag for rehearsals - and leave my NordStage that weigh way over 20kg with bag at home. Since I only use my Electro at rehearsal it's easier to navigate when the boards have equal functionality behind the knobs - guess I am not the only one owning two Nord's mainly because of the weight/size difference...

If it means you buy both then yes agreed, but usually it would mean that one would cannibalize the other and Nord would lose a product line. That wouldn't be good for them.

Also, the more Stage features you'd add to an Electro, probably the more expensive the Electro would become, and possibly the more complicated it becomes to operate.

Two independent outs, like the Korg SV-1.

Sorry, what do you mean by Independent Outs? I have an SV-1, I'm not sure what you are referring to.

There is a stereo set of XLR outs, and next to it, a stereo set of quarter inch outs. I used to run the XLRs to the house board, and the quarter inch to a personally controlled sound source, usually a small mixer going into a personal monitor. That way, I would leave the volume settings on the board alone, and adjust my volume on the personal monitor to be sure I could hear myself without driving the sound guy nuts by shifting the volume on the board.

With my NE5, I run the single set of quarter inch stereo outs into a small mixer, hard pan to one side, send the signal to a Quilter MicroPro 200, my personal monitor, which has an XLR out to feed to the board. However, if I need to turn up my volume to hear myself better, the front of house signal must increase as well, which is not really a good thing.

I could split the signal at the mixer using the Control Room outs in parallel to the mains, but mine is a little Behringer, with only quarter inch outs, and usually sound folks like XLRs. Also, having a stereo signal for the keyboard is not that important in my band. If I were playing out more, I would likely invest in a better mixer with two sets of XLR outs (Control, or Monitor and Main) and send one signal to the board, make my personal monitoring adjustments on the mixer, so minimize changes in volume on the NE5 itself (keeping the sound man as my friend.)
