Hello guys! I've got a Nord Stage 2EX 88 keys and now I'm going to buy a Nord Electro 6 HP 73 keys because I need a more portable instrument without giving up the weighted keys. I need some informations about the NE6:
1) I know that my Nord Stage 2 EX doesn't read the nspm3 samples of the Nord Electro, but can the NE6 read the nspm2 samples of my Nord Stage 2 EX?
2) On the manual of the NE6 I read that with the "Filter" button is possible to apply a velocity sensitive low pass filter to the Sample Synth. Is it possible to control this parameter through the control pedal? If it isn't, can I control it assigning a control change to an external controller?
3) In addition to Expression, which parameters can I control through the Control Pedal?
Thanks for the help.

Re: NORD ELECTRO 6HP INFORMATIONS (?)
Not to change your mind ( Maybe sway) The stage 3 compact is very light. I have played many weighted key beds over the years and really the stage 3 can accomplish any of the nuances that are accomplished on weighted keys, in fact the response is faster when playing something super fast.

Re: NORD ELECTRO 6HP INFORMATIONS (?)
Hi SaraM, let me try to answer your questions.
1) yes, Nord Sound Manager automatically upgrades older samples to nsmp3 when loading them to NE6
2) via CC you can only control the Filter on/off switch (CC#73 as specificed in list of CCs in the manual) , the filter cutoff is always and only controlled by velocity (when enabled)
3) in NE6 manual Connectors paragraph you can read:
Control Pedal
1/4 inch connector for an expression pedal of continuous type, used for controlling volume, B3 swell and/or Effect 1.
Unfortunately NE6 is not a "half-NS3" and if you are used to the Nord Stage you will find quite some limitations you need to be aware of, if portability (less weight) is the issue why don't you go for a NS2EX HP76 instead?
Same keybed and weight as NE6 HP and you will keep all you have and know of your current NS2EX.
