Is there any way to have the Midi from the keyboard controller sent through the USB port or Midi out in Midi upper receive mode? I am using a Yamaha P90 to control the upper keyboard sounds of my NE5 and would like to layer sounds from main stage. Currently only the lower keyboard is sending Midi out via USB or Midi out.

I'm not sure I understand your question, bu if you want the P90 to trigger a Nord sound and a Mainstage sound, you can get a MIDI Thru box (splitter) so you can take the P90's MIDI Out and send it to both the Nord and to Mainstage. It's probably also possible to connect the P90 only to Mainstage, and then have Mainstage reroute that MIDI Input to the Nord as well.

The Nords don't do Thru. It's a pity but that's the way it is. I really miss it...

Or if you run the P90 on MIDI cable to sound interface/mainstage and connect the Nord on USB to computer/mainstage You can route the signal path any way You want to/from any device.
