Please DO NOT attempt to re-power this instrument for the following risks: 1: Electrical Fire Risk. 2: Electric Shock.

Please have this inspected by a qualified electrical technician / engineer (as rightly advised it doesn't need to be a Nord certified company as it's out of warranty). This is for your safety.

Yes, I was talking about the fuse inside the Nord of course (but I didn't consider that also plugs in some countries have a fuse)

They are UK 3 pin plugs! Does that mean it should have had a fuse? For sure, will be bringing it to a shop

The plug fuse protects more the socket (and the rest of the electrical circuit of your house/place) from excessive current absorption, short circuits etc... but it is 5A vs 125/250mA of the fuse inside the NE... I'd check the latter first of all.

cgrafx wrote:Definitely not a fuse. The smoke and smell would indicate you have blown at least one capacitor and possibly some other components.

You will need to send your keyboard in for servicing.

I agree with cgrafx: In your IMG_2952, one capacitor looks different from the rest (look at the x-pattern on top of the capacitor indicated with the red arrow). This usually means the capacitor's electrolyte overheated causing the capacitor's case to bulge upwards. Often the electrolyte vents out through the x-shape.
If this capacitor failed short-circuit, it might also cause the fuse to blow.

I hope your repair goes smoothly.
