A key on my Nord Electro 4HP has stopped working.
I have the keybed safely removed from the unit, but am unsure if I should be getting to the contact strips and boards via the rear of the keybed i.e. removing the hammers, or from the front of the keybed i.e. removing the keys.
Can anybody here provide the correct procedure?
Many thanks,
Tom.

Re: NORD ELECTRO 4HP Key Removal
There is a metal rod that runs the entire length of the action right down the middle. You need to remove the cap from one end and pull the rod out using a pair of pliers. The keys can then be removed. Be warned that putting the rod back is not a whole lot of fun.

Re: NORD ELECTRO 4HP Key Removal
WHAT?!?!? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO..............!!!!
1. Don't be pulling out any metal rods!
2. Remove keys in immediate vicinity of the affected note until you reveal a seam in the rubber contact strip
3. Peel back strip to reveal contact surfaces for affected note.
4. Clean them and reassemble.
Bless, Pablo
