Hi everyone,
We write from Italy and we are actually losing our mind trying to guess the voltage required to a Nord Electro 2 (61). We need to know it as we are buskers and we would love to try the keyboard to an external power bank that goes up to 20v. Still, we would love to know the *exact* voltage so as not to screw it all. I don't know if we're asking something silly but - believe me - we asked the sellers and the distributors and no-one gave us an accurate answer!
Help us please,
Mel and Enrico

Re: Nord Electro 2 61 voltage?
If you purchase in Italy, power will be what ever is standard in Italy. 240v most likely. It plugs into the wall, like any standard appliance.

Re: Nord Electro 2 61 voltage?
Thanks cgrafx for your quick answer - yes, that's for sure. However what we don't understand does not concern the household energy but the voltage of the Nord Electron 2 as we have a power bank and we have to set it. i.e. voltage on cell phones usually are around 5v so that cell phones power banks are usually set around 5v. On my power bank I have two main options (12v and 20v) and I really don't have a clue of what should I choose.

Re: Nord Electro 2 61 voltage?
Ciao Italia, I guess what you want to know is the voltage currency directly after the transformer inside the keyboard, isn't it? This sounds like a nice idea for street music. I do not know the answer, but I imagine that an email to nord in Sweden would be best trial. If they don't tell you, only an opening of the keyboard by a technician would help. Tanti saluti.

Yes, Tasten-Bert that's exactly what we want to know and I already wrote in Sweden. No answers so far. I guess if it keeps going like this we need to open it. We'd prefear not to, still...

Re: Nord Electro 2 61 voltage?
No. No. NO.. just get a power inverter and run the keyboard as it was designed. There is ZERO reason to modify your keyboard.

Re: Nord Electro 2 61 voltage?
As cgrafz says, I would not mess around and bypass the internal Power Supply, better if you go and get a Power bank + Inverter (generator) such as
https://www.amazon.it/Litionite-Hurakan ... B076DFXLWX or https://www.amazon.it/dp/B078JK8T4X (or similar)
or just a 12V to 220V portable Inverter (you find many and cheap in the Car accessories category)

Re: Nord Electro 2 61 voltage?
Somebody here used to run a Nord out of 12V battery and an inverter (I seem to remember that he was living in a van?) and kept blowing fuses (I wonder if somebody remembers that thread; you should be able to find the thread by searching the forum anyway).

Re: Nord Electro 2 61 voltage?
I know there exists two kind of inverters. Those that produce a true sine - True sine inverter - and cheaper inverters - Modified sinewave inverters - If you can invest in the first one I guess chances for trouble-free operation is best.
